Religious Education :: Mission Statement

We at St. Francis of Assisi believe that spiritual growth is essential in our everyday lives. But upon reflection, we find that spiritual growth cannot be done in isolation from the faith community. We need to share and dialog together. We must actively participate in our spiritual growth it doesn’t happen by itself.

We serve the community of La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Indian Wells, Thousand Palms and parts of city of Palm Desert and Indio. Our formation program is from K-12th and we also include parent’s programs. This program is an essential part of our catechesis of the children. The parents are always the first teachers of their children. This program is offered both in English

and in Spanish. Topics are designed to enliven faith, acquaint the parent with what the child is learning and to develop parental skills in listening, relating and living family life.
